The Story

UNO Ultimate: Marvel is a considerably more complex, collectible-card-style spin-off first released in 2021, with further character decks and a 2023 edition following. Each of four character decks (56 cards apiece — playing cards, a character card, enemy cards, and event cards) lets a player take on a specific Marvel hero, using character-specific Wild cards and powers. A shared Danger Deck of enemies and events threatens all players as the game goes, and each box includes randomized foil "chase" cards — alternate-art versions of Wild or Character cards — as standalone collectibles.

Everything below is an official printed rule unless flagged otherwise.

Character Decks

Each player selects one of several Marvel character decks, each with its own Wild cards and hero-specific powers, rather than everyone sharing one deck.

The Danger Deck

Enemy and event cards are combined into a shared Danger Deck; certain played cards trigger a Danger card that threatens all players.

Two Ways to Win

A player wins by either emptying their hand first, or by being the last player with cards remaining in their Character Deck after everyone else has run out.

Foil Chase Cards

Each box includes randomized foil cards — extended-art or alternate-art versions of existing Wild or Character cards — collectible on their own or playable in the deck.
