The Story
Released as a novelty during the 2020 U.S. election cycle, UNO Nonpartisan recolors the two cards most associated with America's two major political parties — red and blue — into orange and purple, removing the association entirely. A double-sided Veto Card sits in the center of the table for the duration of the game; any player who starts talking politics can be "vetoed" by having another player slap the card at them.
Rule Twists vs. Classic UNO
Everything below is an official printed rule unless flagged otherwise.
No Red or Blue
The deck's usual red and blue cards are replaced with orange and purple, deliberately removing the colors most associated with U.S. political parties from the game.
The Veto Card
A double-sided Veto Card sits in the play area for the whole game. If a player starts talking politics, any other player may slap the Veto Card at them to shut the topic down.
