The Story

UNO Flex, announced by Mattel in late 2022 and released in early 2023, introduces dual-color "Flex Cards" — a card printed half Red and half Green, for example, can be played as either color. Each player starts with a two-sided Power Card (green on one face, red on the other); when it's showing green, that player is allowed to use the more powerful "flex" side of their Action Cards, such as choosing exactly who draws four instead of just the next player in line.

Flex Cards

Cards are printed with two colors. A player can choose to play the card as either of its two colors, whichever matches the discard pile.

The Power Card

Every player has a two-sided Power Card, green on one side and red on the other. While it shows green, that player may use the stronger "flex" option on their Action Cards; the card is flipped to red after using it.

Flex Draw Four action card · 4 in deck

Base effect: the next player draws four. Flex option: the player who played it chooses which opponent draws four.

Flex Skip action card · 8 in deck

Base effect: the next player is skipped. Flex option: the player chooses any opponent to skip.
