UNO Dare!
Draw two cards, or draw the short straw and do the dare.
The Story
Rule Twists vs. Classic UNO
Everything below is an official printed rule unless flagged otherwise.
Draw or dare
Instead of an automatic penalty, cards that would normally force a draw instead give the targeted player a choice: draw the stated number of cards, or attempt the dare associated with the card's number, chosen from the agreed Dare List.
Dare Lists set the tone
Before play, the table picks one of the included Dare List cards (e.g. House Rules, Show Off, Daredevil, Family) which defines the pool of dares numbered cards refer to, letting groups scale the game from kid-friendly to adult party night with the same deck.
Opponents can heckle
The rules explicitly allow other players to try to distract or mess with the player attempting a dare (within reason) to make them fail it.
Widely used — not an official rule
House-written dares
CommunityMany groups write their own custom dares on blank cards or slips of paper instead of using the printed Dare List categories. This is a natural extension the rules invite but is not itself a printed official ruleset.
