The Story

Released in 2026 alongside Mattel's real-world UNO Championship Series tournament (a $50,000-prize live competition held in Los Angeles that November), the Expanded Tournament Set brings that same tournament structure home. It ships with three gold-finished 112-card decks, two erasable leaderboards, dry-erase markers, and a trophy for the winner. Two special rule cards are drawn at random at the start of each round and apply to every table for that game, layering new twists on top of standard UNO as the tournament progresses toward a final showdown.

Rule Twists vs. Classic UNO

Everything below is an official printed rule unless flagged otherwise.

Randomized Round Rules

At the start of each round, two special rule cards are drawn at random from the set and apply to every table for that round, changing which twists are active as the tournament progresses.

Leaderboard & Trophy

Rankings are tracked on an included erasable leaderboard across rounds, building toward a final round that crowns the champion with an included trophy.

0's Pass

When a 0 is played, all players pass their entire hand to the next player in the current direction of play. (336-card set only.)

Trade Up 1's

When a 1 is played, that player may take a random card from another player's hand and give them a card of their choice in return.

Deuces Wild

For the round, every 2 card functions as a Wild card.

4's Draw 1

When a 4 is played, both the player to the left and the player to the right draw one card each, without losing their turn. (336-card set only.)
