The Story
The UNO Artiste Series is Mattel Creations' premium, limited-run collector line pairing UNO with fine artists. It launched in September 2019 with a deck featuring Jean-Michel Basquiat's work, followed in 2020 by Keith Haring (whose deck introduced a genuine rules twist: cards can be matched by the artwork on them, in addition to the usual color and number) and Nina Chanel Abney — the first living artist in the series, released in partnership with Pharrell Williams' Black Ambition nonprofit. Later drops have featured Shepard Fairey, Takashi Murakami, Gray Malin, and Shantell Martin. Each release is its own limited product; this entry covers the series as a whole rather than any single artist's deck.

Standard Rules (Most Decks)
Most Artiste Series decks play as standard UNO, with the artwork purely visual.
Match by Artwork (Keith Haring Deck)
The Keith Haring deck specifically adds a genuine rule twist: cards can be matched by the art shown on them, in addition to matching by color or number.
